The “Yabang Pinoy” band is maintenance free. There is no need to remove the band even while doing vigorous activities. It is also weather proof.

The “Yabang Pinoy” bands are currently made by men and women in Barangay Aplaya in Muntinlupa City. Barangay Aplaya is a depressed area by Laguna lake in Muntinlupa City.

The making of the bands is a source of livelihood or extra income for the people of Barangay Aplaya.

“Yabang Pinoy” is a project of Children’s Environmental Awareness and Action Foundation (CEAAF) whose thrust is environmental education on the richness of biodiversity in the Philippines.
